Claremore’s Julia Hoffman – Flawless Performer of the Month Presented by Flawless Smile Dentistry
- Updated: January 12, 2020
They say the sophomore album is the toughest, but Claremore Lady Zebra Julia Hoffman is putting up some stellar numbers in an effort to prove the adage wrong.
Coach Keeli Garroutte said the softball standout drove in 38 runs with 52 hits.
“She hit .495 with a .530 OBP,” Garroutte said. “She led the team in all four of those categories. She’s also very solid at first base, with a .964 FPCT. She’s super consistent in both sides of the game. Overall an awesome sophomore year.”
Hoffman said she attributes her success to working a little bit harder every day.
“I hit almost every day and try to work on the little things in my swing,” she said. “I like to push myself so I can be the best I can be, and I always try to have a positive attitude.”
Even though her sophomore season ended without a playoff win, Hoffman maintains that good things are in store for the future.
“I think the season ended on a good note,” Hoffman said. “We didn’t finish where we wanted, but we did some really good things this year that we wouldn’t have done last year. Some of my future goals are to hit .500 or better, to end the season with a winning record, and make it to a PFG World Series.”
Hoffman also expressed gratitude when it comes to being nominated as a Flawless Performer of the Month.
“I feel really good about it,” she said. “It makes me more confident in myself. I want to say thank you to my parents and coaches for believing in me, and pushing me to be the best I can be.”
