Verdigris freshman, Logan Hamilton, was destined to play volleyball. Both of her parents played volleyball at a younger age. Plus, she was named after an Olympic volleyball player. So easy to say the wheels were in motion before she was born.
“My parents met playing volleyball against each other in a league,” she recalled. “When my mom was pregnant with me, she was watching the Olympics and saw Logan Tom playing and that is who I am named after. I remember watching Tom play in the Olympics in 2012.”
Logan was proud of all of the support she received to be voted one of the top two volleyball players in the Northeast Oklahoma Volleyball poll.
“I was shocked to be nominated and even more shocked to win. I am thankful for all the support I received from my family, friends, and the community.”
The people that have made the biggest impact on Hamilton’s life are her parents, Blair and Angie Hamilton.
“My dad has been a big influence and he and my mom are definitely my biggest fans. They both have encouraged me and instilled in me to work hard and be a great teammate.”
