2016 – 1-9
2015 – 2-8
2014 – 1-9

OFFENSE
After graduating many skilled seniors, the Kansas Comets need to fill those roles with new leadership. At the core of the Comets spread offense is Easton Wiggings (6-0, 165, Jr.), an all-around athlete who will be utilized all over the field. As a sophomore last year, he accumulated 357 rushing yards, two receptions over 26 yards and 614 passing yards. Ethan Whaler (5-9, 165, Sr.) will step up to call the shots as quarterback. Wide receiver Deavon Noe (5-8, 165, Sr.) will be a frequent target that Whaler looks for when putting the ball in the air. A strong offensive line will give some less experienced players a little room to grow into their positions. Three linemen who will be key players are Jacob Jones (6-0, 210, Sr.), William Houston (5-9, 220, Sr.) and Lonnie Berridge (5-9, 220, Jr.).
DEFENSE
The Comets will work out of a 4-3 defense. Jacob Jones will also contribute defensively at end, along with Connor Hesterly (6-3, 280, Jr.) on the defensive line. Together these two accounted for 74 tackles last year. Easton Wiggins and William Hall (5-9, 170, Jr.) shore up the secondary. A solid linebacker core features Jager Pifer (6-0, 195, Sr.) and Caleb Reding (6-0, 190, Jr.). Reding had 72 total tackles last year, while Pifer had 62 tackles before his season was cut short due to injury in week 5. Expect big things from these defenders this season. Head coach Jimmy Dushane is joined by returning staff Todd Lankston, Todd Phillips and Jake Phillips.
