Kansas’ Kaiden Osbourn – Northeast Tech Athlete of the Month

Kaiden Osbourn is a junior at Kansas High School who has played basketball since he was in the third grade. For Osbourn, basketball is a family affair, as he got his love of the sport from his father.

“It has always been my favorite sport because it was my dad’s favorite sport,” he said.

His father not only passed down a love of the game, but a drive to work hard. Osbourn says that his motivation to be his best comes from his desire to make those around him proud.

“I always wanna do my best to make my dad and family proud,” he said.

One of Osbourn’s favorite things about being on the court for the Comets is that he gets to represent his family and his high school community.

“I mainly like playing to represent my family,” he said.

His teammates also mean a lot to him too, saying that his teammate Seth is one of his closest friends.

Outside of basketball, Osbourn is involved in FFA at his high school. He is also concurrently enrolled at Northeast Tech in the Electrical Technology Program, which is something he had thought about for years.

“My best friend Blake and I have planned to go to Northeast Tech for electrical since we visited in eighth grade with Moseley,” said Osbourn.

After high school Osbourn plans to continue his basketball career on the collegiate level and further his electrical career and education.
