Dewey's Addison Moll: Bartlesville Area Athlete of the Month – Presented by Matt Spence State Farm

Dewey High School girls basketball team features several quality players. Junior Addison Moll is a starting forward and one player everyone loves to what play.

Her competitive spirit is not easily tamed. Something head coach David Vann can attest to. “Addison is the player that opposing coaches warn their team about!”

For Moll, her team and teammates are the reason why she plays hard every time she steps onto the floor.

“What I love most about my teammates is how hard they play for our team and leave it all out on the court every game,” said Moll. “We haven’t had the outcomes we’ve wanted on some games, but we’re not giving up. Our defense has improved tremendously and I think things are starting to come together.”

Moll started playing basketball in the third grade. She has also played softball since the first grade and still plays today.

In the classroom, Moll is just as focused. As a student-athlete, Moll strives to have all A’s on her report card.

“My grades and school are my number one priority. I put it over all of my outside activities, and make sure I always have A’s,” said Moll.

She is a member of National Honor Society and is looking forward to continuing her education in college. Her favorite class in high school is American History.

“I plan to further my education and basketball career after high school, but I’m not sure what college I plan to attend yet,” said Moll.

Moll said her mother has been a major influence in her life on and off the court.

“She’s practically my second coach, and always supports me,” said Moll.

In her free time, the basketball star like to spend time with friends and family.

Moll and her teammates have won several big games this season including two overtime wins against Pawhuska and wins over Kethcum, Nowata and Coffeyville, KS.
