Claremore Christian's Hannah Schultz – Character Counts Presented by Advanced Orthopedics of Oklahoma
- Updated: February 6, 2019
Hannah Schultz is a varsity basketball player at Claremore Christian where she also plays volleyball and runs track.
The multi-sport standout doesn’t stop with just three sports. Schultz also plays club soccer with NEOFC.
But Schultz is currently focused on her basketball team and she loves the they play hard and fight for every win.
“What I love most about my team is that they work hard, play hard and fight hard. No matter what happens they always love you. We all play team ball,” said Schultz. “This season has been great so far. We are undefeated and are working so hard towards winning a state title.”
Like many student-athletes at Claremore Christian, Schultz takes a, “education first” attitude towards her studies. She has served on the Student Council for the past two years.
“Academics are super important to me. Grades come first then sports. I aim to do the best I possibly can in every class,” said Schultz.
The point guard looks to several people for advice including coaches and friends.
“I have a few people who have been strong influences in my life. My parents for always teaching me to do the best I can in everything. They are also my biggest supporters. My summer basketball coaches, Dani and Skylar Miller. They have helped me with on and off the court situations and helped me to become a better player, not only on the court but in life. I respect them a ton. Leah Anderson, she is the sweetest person you will ever meet and she can talk to anyone she meets. I strive to be more like that,” said Schultz.
Schultz said she loves Claremore Christian because everyone has the opportunity to play no matter their skill level and the school is like a big family.
As for her team, they keep her laughing.
“They are all incredible girls on and off the court,” said Schultz.
When she is not on the court, field or track, you can find her watching sports on television and hanging out with friends and family.
